The ultimate gift for donkey devotees. With this gift you will make a real difference to the life of a neglected donkey. In association with the Island Farm Donkey Sanctuary - a registered charity that cares for and protects abused and ill-treated donkeys - this gift allows you to adopt a donkey of your choice for 12 months.

Once you have decided which donkey to adopt, simply register the gift following the instructions inside - online or by post. A personalised supporter certificate and a colour photograph of your donkey will follow in the post. These are dispatched within 28 days of your registration. Donkey updates are also sent directly from the charity.

Many donkeys arrive at the Sanctuary in a very bad condition. They are nursed back to health and are able to spend their days in comfortable surroundings. By adopting a donkey, you are helping the charity continue this valuable work.

The farm is located in Oxfordshire and is open daily from 11am - 4pm. If you would like to visit a particular donkey, please call beforehand to check that the donkey is at home as they are often active in the local community - visiting village shows or country fairs. Please be aware that the Island Farm Donkey Sanctuary is not a riding centre. It is a genuine working farm which provides a real home for many rescued animals. If visiting, expect it to be muddy. Some of the donkeys can be ridden however all riding time is given to children with special needs.
